Prusa Enclosure Setup Assembly (1/2)
Introduction
The Prusa Enclosure Setup Assembly is structured as follow:
- Final Rewindr Unit Assembly
- Mounting Rewindr to Prusa Enclosure
- Connecting tubes to MMU3
Step 1
ℹ️ The Hinged Lid Add-on is installed in the following instructions, but it is not required.
Step 35
Prepare the following parts:
- M3x20 screw (5x)
- M3x10 screw (8x)
- 400mm PTFE-tube (1x)
- 410mm PTFE-tube (2x)
- 480mm PTFE-tube (2x)
ℹ️ You may need to adjust the tube lengths later.
Step 2
We are going to attach the PTFE-tubes before further assembly.
Each tube length corresponds to a certain PTFE-Guide number:
- XXXmm Tube
- XXXmm Tube
- XXXmm Tube
- XXXmm Tube
- XXXmm Tube
Insert a correct corresponding tube through the bottom hole of one of the modules (see picture). Make sure the tube is pushed all the way in.
Secure the tube in place with a M3x20 screw via the screw hole in the PTFE-Guide.
Repeat these steps for all modules.
Step 3
Before assembling the modules together, take a look at the bottom of the modules.
Note the screw holes underneath made for connecting the modules together (see picture).
Step 4
Connect the modules together with the M3x8 screws. Start with the module numbered 5 to the left, and connect the modules in descending order according to the picture.
Step 5
Let's route the tube through the Rewindr.
There are multiple holes and slots that are for guiding the tubes. Use the picture as reference and route the tubes out the back of the middle module.
Step 6
Prepare the following items:
- R-Side-panel (1x)
- L-Side-panel (1x)
- PTFE-Clamp (5x)
- M3x8 screw (2x)
- M3 hex nut (2x)
Step 7
Insert the hex nuts in the slots according to the picture (symmetric from the middle).
Step 8
Attach the R-Side-panel on the right side of the Rewindr.
Step 8
Repeat this on the other side with the L-Side-panel.
Step 9
Time to mount the Rewindr on top off the enclosure!
There are two holes on the front of enclosure.
Align these with the two holes of the Rewindr containing the previously inserted nuts.
